On the edge of town is a stunning and somewhat challenging via ferrata route. It is a mix of verticals, traverses, overhangs, and a particularly long Tibetan bridge. Ending My Day With Another Via Ferrata

Right along the edge of the town of Montejaque sits a moderately strenuous K4 via ferrata. It features steep climbs, several overhangs, an impressive 72m (236 ft) zipline, and spectacular views of the region. I climbed it at the end of a long day of hiking and after three other via ferrata climbs. It was a rewarding and tiring experience. I definitely recommend getting a running start on the zipline and not wearing a heavy backpack so you don’t struggle through it like I did. Warning - lots of cursing ahead. Benalauría, AKA Del Canal, is one of these routes—a beginner-friendly climb featuring intriguing crevasses, cable bridges, and stunning views — especially first thing in the morning. Presa de los Caballeros are 3 recently created via ferrata routes traversing a dam near the town of Montejaque in Southern Spain. The three VFs vary in difficulty and are linked together by a suspension bridge and a zipline. The area is gorgeous, the climbing is enjoyable, and two of the routes begin in a cave.
