Shawnte Salabert was raised on the mean streets of Milwaukie where a local Boys and Girls Club introduced her to the outdoors. Her newfound love of camp and adventure led her away from Wisconsin as she sought the secrets of becoming Yogi Bear in human form. Eventually, she stumbled into Los Angeles where her snark landed her a side gig writing for Modern Hiker when she isn’t hiking or drooling over Mark Ruffalo. Jason and Little Shay Shay tried to stay on topic one night in Silverlake Meadow as they discussed her life and mocked each other.
